Marquis Bullock's Preliminary Hearing is Monday March 17th at 9:00 am in the Tulsa County Courthouse, Room 344.
The purpose of this message is to invite all those in support of our Family to be present there with us during this difficult time.
One of the topics to be discussed will be Marquis's Civil Rights. WHAT ABOUT CORI'S CIVIL RIGHTS !! But because of someone elses decision to end her life at 13 she won't be there Monday to discuss how her Right to even be alive was violated.
But you are alive and you can be there for her, your mere presence will speak louder than any words !!! I am asking the Citizens of Oklahoma to stand up for Cori and to be present Monday in her absence.
If Marquis Bullock is allowed to walk free again at the conclusion of this hearing or any upcoming hearings, he will be walking among your children and grandchildren. He will be walking among your nieces, your sisters, your friends and neighbors. It is my opinion that students are especially at risk, as the school is the venue that he used to get Cori in the car with him.
I envision Monday a packed courtroom, standing room only. My prayer is that the courthouse is busting at it's seams. May the Judicial System and Marquis Bullock, clearly understand that we stand in numbers, that we are their because Cori can't be ! May Cori's Rights be honored in a outpouring of support in huge numbers !! Let's protect the children still living.
Sincerely,
Daniel Baker
Cori's Dad Forever !

** UPDATE ** 2/21/2008
Community rallies around Baker family
after plea for help as still more volunteers are needed.
Tulsa, OK February
21, 2008. After the
Baker family held a news conference today to ask for volunteer and police
help in the search for 13 year-old Cori Baker, the Tulsa community now
rallies around the family.
Because bad weather halted the search efforts today, the Baker family took the time to thank the community and to send out a plea for additional help for the resumed search planned for Saturday morning after the weather clears.
Local blogs indicate that several community members plan to come out to the search site on their own on Friday, rain or shine, feeling so much for the family and what they are going through. The Tulsa community is showing so much support for this family, the Bakers hope that the warm sentiment turns into able bodies on Saturday.
The Saturday search will begin at 8AM at the Unity Church of Christianity at 3355 S. Jamestown in Tulsa. The Bakers are hoping that hundreds will turn up ready to finally find Cori. The family is asking anyone who can to please come out and help bring Cori home. (Click here for location details).
If anyone wants to help out but doesn't know what to do here are some suggestions:
Citizens may email the family at helpfindcoribaker @ solvesmart.com to offer any in kind donations, tips or leads, or to volunteer to search.
For updates on the case come back here to this page.
The family is stressing their purpose
of finding Cori.
February
21, 2008. The
Baker Family has given a statement to the press today. They
emphasized that the are searching for their precious Cori who went missing
on November 9th. They are very dedicated, determined and have faith
the will find her. They expressed their gratitude to those who were
there to support the cause, but noted the fact that the public had not
rendered lots of volunteers and the police had been pretty much absent.
They also stated that they are willing to continue to work with the
alleged perpetrator . If he were to cooperate once more and helps in
pinpointing where Cori is, they will speak out to his favor during the
upcoming trial.
Here is
what I, myself, had to say in anticipation of the family's statement:
They have been putting all their efforts into finding their precious
Cori. They have been grateful for the help they have been given, but
the turn out was so small again yesterday. They are very concentrated
and hopeful, but they surely could use positive support in terms of
people assisting.
Today the family will give a statement, in the meanwhile please plan to come to join on Saturday when the weather has cleared up. Join together as a community and help this family, the media, the police, the people, everyone. The family needs your help and it seems like the police are waiting on the sidelines, people are talking more than helping. The family needs love, support, and people showing up ready to help.
Thank you

| On November
9, 2007 our beloved daughter Cori, age 13, was due to come
home from school on the bus as she does every day. However,
her oldest sister’s boyfriend picked her up at school
but didn’t bring her home. She has never been seen since.
He is now in jail charged with her murder and has not told
anyone where she is. Hundreds of people have helped us search, but we still have been unable to find her, and we are meeting every week to continue our search. We need your help, and there are many ways you can help us. |

Cori!

| Donate via button or print the flyer and post it in stores, coffeeshops or in break rooms. Send love! | |||||
| 1.
DONATE (more about donating) You can make a donation in Cori’s name to a special account that has been set up at the Bank of Oklahoma. Stop in at any branch and ask them to look up the Cori Baker Contribution Account in their system under “Community Spirit” and make your donation that way. Also, you can mail a check made payable to Cori Baker Contribution Account, Bank of Oklahoma, P.O. Box 2300, Tulsa, OK 74192. This fund helps defray family expenses and direct costs for the search. Also, a $5000 reward has been offered for the person or persons who can give the exact location of her body. That reward is handled through Crime Stoppers; calls can be made to 918 596-COPS. You can donate directly through the web. Any donation is greatly appreciated. 2. HELP SEARCH If you live in or near Tulsa, Oklahoma (or can come here), you can help us search. You don’t need special skills or expertise, just a willing heart, sturdy walking shoes, and you must be over 18 years old. We meet every Saturday at 8:00 AM at Unity Church of Christianity at 3355 S. Jamestown, Tulsa 74135. Enter through the East door (the back side of the church), turn right, and go down the hall to the last room on the right. Bring your I.D. with you. If you know early in the week before any Saturday that you can come to help search, please email us at tb1209@cox.net. But even if you don’t know until the end of the week, please come anyway! We’ll be there! 3. PRAY You can pray for Cori and our search and put Cori’s name on prayer lists at your own church. Please email this to everyone you know and ask them to do the same. We need prayers every day. 4. TELL OTHERS If you are unable to help in any of these ways, please forward this to everyone on your email list. There is strength in our numbers. Print out the flyer in PDF or JPG (if necessary right click and Save As, for Mac use Control Click instead) Cori is one of the most vibrant young girls you could ever meet. She is full of life and love and always makes you feel that you are the most important person in the world when you’re with her. She is helpful, conscientious, athletic, and loves her family and her basketball team and games, and we need to find her and bring her home again. We have been told that she hasn’t survived, and we need to lay her to her final rest. The word “closure” has such great meaning to all of us who love Cori, and we pray that you will be able to help us in any way you can. Thank you. |
